Biography

Amit is one of the owners of Abbey House Dental and has been developing the practice and its facilities since he bought the practice in 2012. As part of his training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dental Implants, Amit visited prestigious dental institutes in Germany and Italy to gain expertise. He has had extensive training in Dental Implants and has been placing implants for over 10 years. He went on to gain a Masters in Dental Implantology and Oral Surgery in Rome, Italy.

Amit is the Clinical Lead of the practice and mentors other dentists in dental implants and sedation. He is a Nationally accredited Sedation mentor for other dentists in IV and Happy air sedation. His practice is now limited to Dental Implantology.

Dental Implants

Amit began his surgical training with the Oral & Maxillofacial team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham as a Senior House Officer. Here he gained valuable surgical skills in treating patients with facial trauma and assisting the consultants in complex surgical cases. As part of his training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dental Implants, Amit visited prestigious dental institutes in Germany and Italy to gain expertise. He has had extensive training in Dental Implants and has been placing implants for over 10 years. He has trained extensively with the prestigious Campbell Academy. He went on to gain a Masters in Dental Implantology and Oral Surgery in Rome, Italy.

Amit is the Clinical Lead of Abbey House Dental and mentors other dentists in dental implants and sedation. His practice is now limited to Dental Implantology. Amit routinely carries out the following treatments:

Teaching & Mentoring

Amit is the Clinical Lead of Abbey House Dental and mentors other dentists in dental implants, IV sedation and Inhalation sedation. He is a Nationally accredited Sedation mentor with the Royal College of Surgeons of England for other dentists in IV and Happy air sedation. He also coaches other dentists in improving their communication skills with patients and helping them develop systems and workflows in achieving better outcomes for patients and clinicians. He is due to teach next year on a Postgraduate Diploma for Dental Implants and will also be speaking at a dental conference. Amit mentors on the following treatments:

Practice

Amit and his wife Mumta purchased Abbey House Dental in Stone, Staffordshire in 2012 from Dr David Lehane and the late Dr Robert (Bob) Bates. At the time the practice was a 2 surgery practice operating at half capacity. After expanding our clinical skills Amit and Mumta refurbished the practice in 2015 with the help of Envirodental During this phase 4 new surgeries were built with a 2-storey extension. As the area and its surroundings grew over the years Abbey House Dental also expanded and so in 2019 a second building was refurbished into a dental practice and the third building was recently completed in 2022 with the help of Altar Construction and Envirodental. The 3 practices conveniently are all on one road.

The Advanced Centre has a team of ‘experts’ and specialists in all the dental disciplines including Dental Implants, Sedation, Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Clinical Dental Technician, Orthodontics, Invisalign, and Smile makeovers using composite bonding or veneers/crowns. It houses our specialist equipment such as a CBCT scanner, multiple Itero scanners, microscope and electrosurgery kit.
